NEWS & TRAVELS > Overview > 2010 Travels and TalesGreetings Friends of AAI,
After just returning from two extensive buying trips, I am excited! The difference this time is that I was in the good old USA. That's right, 8 days on the road and nearly 6000 miles of driving, buying and unloading.
And then driving some more...
I took some time to eat and sleep (not much) along the way. I did jump in the ocean for about 20 minutes in South Florida - then I was back on the road.
My voyage took in many Midwestern cities, continued through the Rust Belt, zig zagging from city to city, then onto South Florida, up the East Coast and finally back to Chicago. Along the way I saw lots of old friends, met some great new dealers and played with some very friendly & fun dogs. The warm weather did my soul good after months of an exceptionally nasty Chicago winter.
The store is now filled with some of the greatest and most unusual antiques I have ever had. These are one of a kind objects. Killer Stuff! The acquisitions from this excursion filled two 40ft semi containers as well as 3 loads and unloads of our 24ft truck. My back is killing me but I am happy and I think you will be too!
Some of the amazing goodies procured on this journey include:
The unifying factor? All the pieces are great quality and great fun and you will find them only at Architectural Artifacts, Inc.
With the arrival of all these goodies the store is packed and truthfully looking great! I invite you to come on in and do some shopping. None of the new pieces are online as of yet so your best bet is to visit in person and enjoy.
I know you will love what you see!
With a smile on my face and an aching back,
Stuart |
