Our food has a lot in common with our artifacts:

It’s right at home in the Midwest, but has a traveler’s taste for Rome, Copenhagen, and Paris.

From an executive chef with distinctly local roots — Andrew Holladay of Lula Cafe — our menu seeks out inspiration, from Midwestern farms to European street food, and stirs in a sommelier-selected collection of natural wines and inventively crafted cocktails. In other words, it’s seriously amazing food that never takes itself too seriously.

We’re talking marinated olives and cheeses that will fuel your cocktail hour conversation; a brunch-transforming omelette; or our signature, a reimagined Detroit pizza that will stop you in your tracks like a first love. (The answer to your question is: yeah, there’s Ranch — and you can dip if you want to.)

You can take it all with you on a trip through AAI’s incredible collections, or just get comfortable in our cafe and start savoring. After all, we believe a life well-lived needs to be well-fed … and a glass of wine and some cool antiques never hurt, either.
